Allanazarov was prosecuted as one of the defendants in the “Case of 39 participants in the 2022 Karakalpakstan unrest.” The trial began in Bukhara on 6 February 2023. On 17 March 2023, the Court of the Republic of Karakalpakstan convicted multiple defendants connected to the July 2022 protests. On 12 June 2023, the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan reviewed the case and reduced several sentences, including Allanazarov’s.
Initially sentenced to 8 years’ imprisonment in a penal colony; the Supreme Court reduced the sentence to 6 years.
